The Stars, the Moon and the Sun They provide the light I capture
A Midsummer Nights Dream
So last night there was quite the show in the night sky, on Midsummers Eve no less.
The Noctilucent Clouds put on a spectacular show and as it was nearing it’s end I caught this shot with the NLCs lightning up the night sky behind the Windmill of Kulla Gunnarstorp.
In Forest Deep
The Noctilucent clouds shimmer and shine over the church in the village of Mölle in Scania, Sweden.
Where the Trolls live
Out in the Fields
With the ending of the Milky Way season a new season begins... the first of the thunderstorms have already made their first loud appearances...
The Road to Nowhere
Heading out into the summers night with the sky all lit up by the electric light of Nightshining Clouds or Noctilucent Clouds is a special feeling… especially when you spend most of the time fending off mosquitoes…
The Noctilucent Clouds are just an amazing sight in the nothern summernight skies. Here captured over a farmhouse in Scania, Sweden.
The Beauty of Raw Power
Some thunderstorms passed by and mother nature showed her power in a most beautiful way.
Twins of Turbulence
I’ve been wanting to take a lightning shot at this very location since I started taking photos. This little valley is just south of a small village called Glumslöv at it’s overlooking the Öresund straight between Denmark and Sweden and in the middle there is the Swedish island of Ven where the danish astronomer Tycho Brahe had his observatory in the 16th century. Unfortunately there are some street lights ruining the foreground a bit but my word did the storm provide some spectacular action this night. Just look how the clouds are torn to pieces by the winds feeding this stormcell. 2 very visible lightniong strikes in this single exposure but when observed closer there are a few more hidden in the rain.
